Tawfiq: From a Family’s Love to a Natural Promise

Our story began on a seemingly ordinary evening in 2019. My wife, fresh out of the shower, complained that commercial soap bars left her skin feeling dry and itchy. Her words sparked a question in me: could we not find a bathing product that was both effective and gentle?

Driven by a simple desire to care for my family, I embarked on an unexpected journey. I decided to make a truly natural soap for her. Like a curious student, I researched tirelessly, sourcing a variety of premium natural ingredients like coconut oil, shea butter, olive oil, and argan oil. My own kitchen became a humble workshop where I began my first experiments.

I soon realized that making high-quality soap was more than just mixing ingredients. Most commercial soaps are made with a high-temperature process that destroys the nutrients in natural oils. To preserve the active properties of these precious ingredients, I set out to develop a completely new method. After countless trials and errors, I finally perfected a cold-process soapmaking technique, maintaining a low temperature of around 50°C (122°F). This allowed me to infuse beneficial ingredients like coconut amino acids, aloe vera, He Shou Wu (fo-ti root), and vitamin B5 into every bar.

This unique process gives our soaps a distinctively different feel. Unlike traditional soap bars that cause tightness, our gentle cleansing bars create a rich, creamy lather that cleanses thoroughly while leaving the skin feeling soft and moisturized. This homemade soap, born out of love, not only solved my wife’s problem but also won the hearts of friends and family.

In late 2019, I decided to share this "family's love" with a wider audience. I launched my brand, naming it Tawfiq, an Arabic word that translates to “success, good fortune, or divine guidance.” It represents not only the good fortune of my entrepreneurial journey but also my firm belief that when you pour your heart into something and strive for excellence, success will follow.
